Comic Cover Of The Week: Deathstroke #12 – Looney Tunes Variant

Copyright: DC Comics

“Say yer prayers varmint!”

Welcome once again my comic collecting cohorts to another episode of “Comic Cover Of The Week,” and this weeks spotlight falls upon yet another ‘ornery, bush-whackin’, doggone, shootinist-tootinist Looney Tunes variant cover starring none other than Yosemite Sam, who seems to have bitten off more than he can chew, in a death dealing duel with the mercenary with the most; Deathstroke.

DC Comics have been celebrating parent company, Warner Bros’ excellent cartoon classics with a month long comic cover homage to their most beloved characters, Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, Wile Coyote and many more have been invading the covers of some of DC‘s biggest characters to hilarious effect.

Also of note is the standard cover by the exceedingly talented Tyler Kirkham, showcasing a Deathstroke/Harley Quinn team-up, a more dangerous duo I cannot imagine, as  Slade continues his mission to get at Suicide Squad mentor Amanda Waller, and he’s determined that he’ll go through any Supervillain that tries to get in his way… including Catwoman.

Comic Cover Of The Week celebrates DC’s Looney Tunes variant month with this stunning Emanuella Lupacchino alternate cover of everyone’s favourite fiery haired alien Princess entangled with WB’s parisian striped skunk Pepe Le Pew. Malodorous mammal Pepe is constantly on the hunt for “L’amour” and it seems he may have struck gold with the red-hot incandescence that is Starfire.

DC’s heroes this month find themselves teaming up with classic WB characters like Wile Coyote, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Road Runner in over two dozen amazing variant covers. Wonder Woman singing opera with Elmer Fudd, Sinestro plotting world domination with Wile Coyote, and Catwoman sizing up Tweety Pie are just a few of the awesome alternates available from this crazy cover extravaganza.
