Comic Cover Of The Week: Elvira Meets Vincent Price #1

Elv1

Welcome, fellow fans of fantastic fiction, to another crazy compendium of comic cover collectables! this perky post is dedicated to the quirky queen of delicious double-entendre – voluptuous vixen vamp- Elvira!

Cassandra Peterson’s horror hostess heroine is back alongside the master of menace himself – Vincent Price, in a brand new mini-series courtesy of writer David Avallone and Dynamite Comics, and what a fantastic pair they make (oh, and the comics are great too!) Our spooky storyline finds the titanic twosome of terror (again, we’re talking about Elvira and Vincent and not necessarily Ms’ Peterson’s prized assets!) entrusted with a macabre mission to find a long lost fabled movie that may just end up saving the world from an approaching apocalypse, courtesy of a vengeance fuelled Egyptian god!

Writer – David Avallone  once again produces the glorious goods, with a witty and bawdy script that absolutely encapsulates the suggestively insinuating hellcat of horror that is the mystifying Mistress of the Dark, with his script vividly brought to life thanks to the vivacious visuals of Juan Samu, who expertly captures the likeness of the tormented twosome of terror.

Plus, why not throw yourself into a cheeky chasm of cleavage clad comic covers as each and every issue in the series throws up a veritable treasure chest (yup!) of vaunted variants of our voracious vixen vamp!!

Elvira Meets Vincent Price is available from your local comic-book emporium right now!

(As a small aside to this post, after I returned from my local comic shop with the two variant covers of this series, I posted a pic of the titanic twosome (again, I’m talking about the comics!) on Twitter captioned – ‘just got back from my local comic-book emporium with this lovely pair… oh, and the comics!’ – and to my delight, the queen herself – Elvira liked the tweet… ELVIRA! my life pinnacle is now achieved!!)
